Figure Painting Class

Since I've been painting the figure recently as well as my usual landscape painting I'm offering a figure painting class coming up very soon. Several of my students requested a figure class, so here it is... 4 spots left!

Figure Painting

Join artist Philip Frey for this six week figure painting class (no class on April 15th). We will paint the figure from a live model with a focus on the portrait which will include working on the foundations of the figure, color theory and mixing, paint modeling and composition. Students should have a solid foundation in drawing to take this class.

Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is March 7th. The cost for workshop is $300 (covers modeling fees, etc.). Register by mailing in the form below with payment or by calling. Sign up early as the class size is limited to 10 students. The class will be held at Liz and Katie’s studio in the Bar Harbor Town Office building (enter front door, go left, top of the stairs, second floor, first door on left).
